Melissa Wolf Fine Arts is seeking the best art to present in the highest quality Online Venue for Art. This exhibition will be featured for six months on the home page and will be archived forever. Each artist will receive a page on the exhibition featuring their art. There will also be a page with descriptions and links to one online venue, a website, blog, social networking page, etc. Melissa Wolf Fine Arts will also produce a print on demand hard cover catalog. Artists will each receive a complimentary copy and author's prices for additional copies.

Juror
Roxie Munro, Artist, Author, Lecturer

Roxie is the author/illustrator of more than 35 books for children (including Mazescapes; Amazement Park; the Inside-Outside Books: New York City [New York Times Best Illustrated Award], Washington DC, Texas, London, Paris, and Libraries; Feathers, Flaps & Flops; Doors; Gargoyles, Girders & Glass Houses; Ranch; Wild West Trail Ride Maze; Circus; Mazeways: A to Z; Rodeo; Go!Go!Go!; and Inside-Outside Dinosaurs). Her books have been translated into French, Italian, Dutch, Chinese, and Japanese.

Recent books: EcoMazes: 12 Earth Adventures (Starred Review in School Library Journal and Smithsonian's Best Science book for Children), Desert Days, Desert Nights, Hatch! (Outstanding Science Trade Book, NSTA and CBC, Society of International Librarians International Honor Award, Bank St College Best Books of 2012, with Outstanding Merit) and Busy Builders. Recent apps:"Roxie's a-MAZE-ing Vacation Adventure," an interactive game app, and the 3-D app, "Roxie's DOORS." Out fall 2012: K.W.I.i.StoryBooks (Kids Interactive Walk-in Story Books). Out summer 2013: Slithery Snakes.

Roxie was born in Texas, and grew up in southern Maryland, by the Chesapeake Bay. At the age of six, she won first prize in a county-wide contest for a painting of a bowl of fruit. She has been a working artist all her life, for a while freelancing in Washington DC as a television courtroom artist. It was great training for life drawing, concentration under pressure, and making deadlines. Clients included CBS, the Washington Post, and the Associated Press. Fourteen of her paintings have been published as covers of The New Yorker magazine.

She also creates oils, watercolors, prints, and drawings, primarily cityscapes, which are exhibited widely in the US in galleries and museums. Roxie's work is in numerous private, public, and corporate collections.

Roxie Munro studied at the University of Maryland, the Maryland Institute College of Art (Baltimore), earned a BFA in Painting from the University of Hawaii, attended graduate school at Ohio University (Athens), and received a Yaddo Fellowship in Painting. She lectures in museums, schools, conventions, and teaches in workshops and the Paint in Italy program.

Many oils and watercolors are views from the roof of her sky-lighted loft studio in Long Island City, New York, just across the East River from her home in mid-Manhattan. Roxie is married to the Swedish writer/photographer,
Bo Zaunders.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Please be aware that if your work is selected we will require a short 250 word statement about
the work that was accepted. This will not be a generalized artist statement or a bio. This will
be a description of the piece and what inspired you to make it. What was going through your
mind? Let the viewer into your thought process.

FEE
$20.00 for the first 3 images
$5.00 for every image after that with a maximum of 8 images.
ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

Please do not send any material other than what is asked for. The juror will not see it and it will not be posted online.
In addition please do not contact us to see if your work was received or chosen.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Accepted entries will receive detailed information regarding the next steps for online presentation. In addition to the short statement
Artists will be expected to send us a link to a website, blog, social networking page or blog. We will also ask that you link your
online presenses to Melissa Wolf Fine Arts. We will also expect that artists will keep us informed if their email or if any other links change. Remember that this exhibition will be online permanently.

LIABILITY
Although Melissa Wolf Fine Arts will take every care to present your art in the most professional way, by submitting to this exhibition Melissa Wolf Fine Arts will not be responsible for copyright infringement, inappropriate blog or social networking posts by outside parties. Melissa Wolf Fine Arts will also reserve the right to use any work submitted for publicity, both in print and online, on email or social networking and archiving indefinitely. Any publicity that includes the artists work will be given full credit.
